WinXP Outlook Setup Instructions

Open Outlook, at the top go to-
1) Tools -> Email Accounts


2) Tools -> Email Accounts -> View or change existing e-mail accounts


3) Tools -> Email Accounts -> View or change existing e-mail accounts -> Change
Make sure that you fill in the text boxes labeld Your Name, E-mail Address and User Name.
NOTE: Your username MUST be your full email address (i.e. jon@velocityonline.net)
NOTE: Both incoming and outgoing mailservers are- mail.velocityonline.net
NOTE: The incoming server is POP3 & the outgoing is SMTP (NOT Imap as in the example)


X) If you are NOT using our dialup service (for instance, if you have cable or DSL)
then you must do the following:
Tools -> Email Accounts -> View or change existing e-mail accounts -> Change -> More Settings
Now check the box here-
"My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
